Hypnosis has been sanctioned and used by the medical community since 1958 to help patients overcome chronic pain, create anesthesia, and heal psychogenic illnesses.

Your Session: What To Expect

First, a discussion with Kirby to set intentions and goals for the session. The session itself will include deep relaxation techniques to induce a trance. Guided imagery and gentle suggestions on how to approach the inner challenges that you have chosen to work on. Breathwork and opportunities to form solutions and generate inner resources with your mind and imagination. The session ends with a short integration back to everyday life.

Hypnosis is not a feeling – it’s a state of mind. Some people feel light – like they are floating, some feel grounded and safe. Other people feel nothing at all, or a light buzzing feeling. They are all correct – but it is different for every person.

Hypnosis is focused awareness where you are highly receptive to positive suggestion. It is not sleep, nor relaxation. We often have you focus on relaxation in the hypnosis office to help you focus. But there will be many times where you feel excited, or with lots of energy.

Anyone who is able and willing to follow instruction can be hypnotized, and you cannot be hypnotized against your will. It is a consensual state. It works best when you really want to make changes in your life but are having a hard time doing so or a hard time following through.
