Shaolin Healing Workshop

Dr. William Berk is an emergency medicine physician, clinical instructor and assistant professor at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. He went to medical school at Brown University and did his speciality training in Emergency Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. He also works as a mindfulness and wellness consultant for Mount Sinai Hospital System and facilitates meditations independently.

Gratitude Aroma - Yoga and Meditation Event

‘GRATITUDE AROMA’ – YOGA & MEDITATION is designed to work on the whole person: Body, Mind, and pure consciousness of Spirit.

It is a mix of breathing, yoga movements, poses, and guided meditation combined with a therapeutic grade of essential oils. The GRATITUDE essential oil blend contains nine oils with an aroma that promotes gratitude, thankfulness, and appreciation. Helping foster a positive attitude of gratitude and attracting all that is good in your life.AROMA triggers instincts, emotions, and memory. Yoga weaves neuromuscular memory into our cells. Our sense of smell instantly puts us in a meditative frame of mind. New Moon Abundance Workshop

Floating, like laughing, induces the release of endorphins, euphemistically known as the brain’s “happy chemicals”: neurotransmitters found in the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, and distributed throughout the nervous system. Secretion of endorphins leads to feelings of euphoria, modulation of appetite, release of sex hormones, and enhancement of the immune response. With high endorphin levels, we feel less pain and fewer negative effects of stress.

And just as hitting the gym regularly stimulates consistent release of endorphins, so does floating. Effectively, regular float sessions train your “endorphin muscle” and rewire your brain to more regularly secrete endorphins, resulting a more consistent state of happiness, relaxation, and sustained positive energy levels.
